Tag-it™ provides the first programmable and updateable transponder that can be laminated between layers of paper or plastic to product inexpensive consumable stickers, labels, tickets or documants.

The new transponders feature read/write updating 'on the fly' so that information from shipping dates and baggage loading times to product quality checks can be updated instantaneously and automatically.

Tag-it ™ can even simultaneously identify and track multiple items such as packages overlapped on a conveyor or several products inside a sealed carton.

Tag-it™ labels have been successfully and accurately read while passing through a 1 meter x 1 meter tunnel mounted around a parcel carrying conveyor travelling at speeds up to 2.8 meters per second, which is the normal speed used for barcode scanning.

Tag-it™ smart labels can be read in random orientations as well as in groups so they do not need special handling like a barcode label does. This feature will allow parcel companies to reduce the amount of manual handling neccessary and also reduce operating costs.
